Machal Spices was built on a simple conviction — the world deserves to taste the real flavours of Manipur, straight from the source.
Growing up in Imphal, our founders were surrounded by the intoxicating aromas of Raja Mircha drying on rooftops, turmeric being stone-ground in courtyards, and whole spices traded in the legendary Ima Keithel (Mother's Market). These weren't just ingredients — they were a way of life.
When they moved away for work, they found that the spices available elsewhere were pale imitations — blended, irradiated, or stored for months before reaching the shelf. The mission became clear: bring authentic Manipuri spices to every kitchen in India, with complete transparency about their origin.
Today, Machal works directly with small-hold farming families across Manipur's districts. We skip every middleman, pay fair prices to farmers, and deliver spices that are processed and packed within days of harvest.
